Attending a Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) PrimeTime expo is an experience.
Each expo offers an exciting lineup for nearly every category — from furniture, appliances, and electronics to business, financial, and digital services. Across the board, NMG vendors show up and show off the latest and hottest products and programming.
Browsing the show floor also offers a prime opportunity to identify new and ongoing trends and decide which ones might be right for shoppers in your community. As we see at every show, trends can be both aesthetic and functional, with appeal that ranges from niche to broad.
Not sure how to determine which trends could work for your customers?
3 Questions to Ask When Evaluating Trends for Your Customer Base
- Does this trend blend with any local or regional preferences? Aesthetic examples include modern, traditional, coastal, rustic, or minimalistic styles. Functional preferences lean into lifestyle needs, such as time-saving features for commuters, or items designed for smaller spaces like apartments and condos.
- Would this work for the top demographics in your area? Consider average age, income, household size, general lifestyle, etc.
- Does it fill a gap in your inventory or offer a solution your customers need? Are your shoppers looking for more fabric or color options? Are you seeing greater demand for premium and luxury items?
Spring 2026 Top PrimeTime Product Trends
At our Fort Lauderdale PrimeTime this past week, we spotted several continuing and up-and-coming trends across various categories. Keep reading for the roundup.
Appliance Trend: Space-Specific Designs
NMG vendors understand that consumers’ needs are influenced by their unique living spaces. At the Expo, we saw appliances of all shapes and sizes, including counter-depth kitchen styles, garage-ready fridges, compact kitchen and laundry units, and even larger refrigeration and laundry options for larger households.
Appliance Trend: Refrigerators with Extra Tall Dispensers
As the reusable tumbler and bottle industry continues to grow, larger options have also grown in popularity. In response, appliance manufacturers are adding taller dispensers to more SKUs, with plenty on display at PrimeTime.

Appliance Trend: Cooking Features
- Induction ranges are having a moment, both as an energy-efficient alternative to gas and a way to achieve greater precision and speed with cooking temperatures.
- Ovens featuring “no preheat air fry” were spotted at the Expo, which solves not only the growing demand for multi-use products but also the desire for faster, more convenient cooking options.

Bedding Trend: Cooling Pillows
We saw plenty of cooling pillows at Las Vegas Market, so it was no surprise the trend carried over into PrimeTime. The macro cooling trend continues to influence more subcategories of the bedding industry.

Bedding Trend: Split Head Mattresses
The split head mattress trend has also been around for a while. Yet, its appeal continues to grow, and new advancements are keeping options fresh and versatile for a variety of sleeping preferences.
Furniture Trend: Lighter Neutral Fabrics
While neutral colors will never go out of style, we saw an abundance of lighter fabric options represented at the Expo, ranging from nearly whites to soft grays to shades of beige.

Electronics Trend: Micro RGB
According to Popular Mechanics, Micro RGB “offers the most accurate color of any display technology out there.” The new technology uses mini LED lights that allow for more precise color and brightness control.
Electronics Trend: Extra Large TVs
TVs continue to increase in size as new technologies make them more affordable. At PrimeTime, we saw several TVs in the 100-inch range, including a 115-inch option from TCL.

General Product Trends at PrimeTime
Taking the above trends into account, we observed a few underlying themes that transcend categories.
- A greater number of products are focused on usability, with an emphasis on versatility, flexibility, and multi-use solutions that also offer cost-saving benefits.
- Convenience is (still) king. Consumers want products that save time, simplify steps, and solve frustrations. We saw plenty of new products designed to do all of the above on the show floor.
As technologies and styles continue to evolve, one thing is for certain: You will see the latest at PrimeTime.
