Total years of experience with the independent channel/retail
28 years serving and selling the Independent retail channel.
What motivates you to get up and go to work for the Independent retailer every day?
Independent retail is a tough business. And I’m proud to say, I like the challenge. Getting up every day and fighting for the channel is a very rewarding way to make a living.
Tell us about your role at NMG.
I fill a unique role for our Members by tackling projects, implementing retail business solutions, and serving any and all needs they may have.
Why did you want to come work at NMG?
The company’s leadership, its proven successful technical skills and the trustworthiness of the people running the organization were the most important decision factors I considered when deciding to come work for NMG.
Why do you think NMG is the best buying group for Independent retailers in today’s climate?
Complacency simply just does not exist within our four walls. It’s an everyday mission of our organization to engineer, manufacture and fine-tune our business services, programming and networking for the CE, bedding, furniture, connected home, web, digital, outdoor and appliances spaces.
What is the most important project you are working on right now, and why?
All things related to connected services and web development initiatives are today’s top priorities. Our business footprint continues to evolve at the speed of light. Therefore, we must continue to adapt to the ever-changing market conditions.
What is your favorite memory from your time at NMG?
Standing side-by-side packing “No Child Hungry” meals with John and April Potter from W.S. Badcock. Another great memory that will be with me for a while is handing one of my Members a PrimeTime CashBack check for almost $1,000,000.
What do you like most about your job?
Being able to work with all the friends I have been able to make through the years.
What else do you want people to know about you and NMG?
Born and raised in the U.P. of Michigan, I’m married with two kids and now live outside Atlanta. My hobbies include fishing of any type and hanging out at the lake when I can.
