Who & What are We?
The Service Leaders Network (SLN) connects over 850 appliance servicing dealers to create a single community with a heard voice and a bold presence, and capitalizes on that strength to represent you, the Member, as we work with manufacturers and trade partners. Through the SLN, a host of services, resources, training, business counseling, trade partner discounts and more have been developed and are available for all appliance servicing Nationwide Members.
Training & Education
Member to Member Appliance Service Forum
A Member2Member (M2M) “Let’s Talk About Service” open forum is held on the last Wednesday of every month at 3pm ET. The M2M forum is focused on Members who service appliances and/or those who are thinking about starting their own service department. The premise of this M2M peer group is for Members to discuss topics common to all, collaborate with each other and share best practices to help your business run efficiently and be profitable! These sessions are built on Member interaction and participation.
Performance Group
The ‘problem solving’ group of serving Members that discuss actions to take on the service needs that are brought to the table at the Member2Member service open forum.
Apprenticeship Programs

SLN has a close relationship with the Department of Labor in facilitating a service technician apprenticeship program for Members. This program was created to help Members build their workforce and potentially provide funding to them when a new technician hire is put through the apprenticeship program. Funding in many instances may come as Employer Tax Credits, Wage Compensation & Training Tuition reimbursement.

Resources & Communications
There are hundreds of resources including training videos, business management presentations, information on manufacturers, trade partner discounts, information on parts distributors, training organizations, trade associations, business management software programs and more available through the SLN Webpage in MemberNet, Nationwide’s exclusive Member website.
Annual Virtual Service Conference
The only one of its kind in the appliance service industry, the Virtual Service Conference is hosted every spring.
Offering 60+ training sessions over three consecutive afternoons. Attendance is free to Nationwide Members and sessions are available in the convenience of your store!
- Day 1 – Dedicated to Business Owners and Service Managers with a focus on business management and manufacturer roundtables.
- Day 2 – Dedicated to appliance Technicians with a focus on product training from the manufacturers and training organizations.
- Day 3 – Dedicated to Delivery & Installation managers and staff.
Additional Training Webinars
Offered 2 to 3 times a month, SLN training webinars consist of product training for your technicians, plus business training for owners, service managers and service support staff.
We also host training by our Trade Partners who demonstrate their products or services that are a key component to creating efficiencies in your service operation and maximizing your financial investment.
