What motivates you to get up and go to work for the Independent retailer every day?

In this day and age, with all of the big box stores out there, I believe it’s gotten much harder for the Independent retailer to compete. I enjoy working with them every day and providing myriad resources that help their business compete and, often times, outperform the big guys.

Tell us about your role at NMG.

Helping Independent retailers in all aspects of their business, providing a plethora of services to enable them to be competitive with all of the big box stores.

Why did you want to come work at NMG?

After spending so many years in retail, I wanted to work more on the wholesale side, and be able to provide the smaller retail dealers with some experience that I had accrued in all of my years in big box retail.

Why do you think NMG is the best buying group for Independent retailers in today’s climate?

With all of the the resources that we currently have, including our digital platform, and many other services we provide, we are not only the biggest group out there, but we are by far the most complete with all of our offerings.

What is the most important project you are working on right now, and why?

For the past 2 months or so, I’ve been working diligently with all of my Members to make sure they are all able to make it through this pandemic. I have been amazed at all of resources and services our corporate team has been able to provide for our Members during this trying time.

What is your favorite memory from your time at NMG?

There are many, but most of all I love it when we are able to provide our Members with crucial services that truly help their business. That’s is always my most favorite moments.

What do you like most about your job?

Being out on the road and in our Members’ stores on a daily basis. I believe that’s another thing that sets us apart from other groups. We are the only group that has people out on the road and in our Members’ stores on a constant basis. I love meeting with the Member and seeing all of the different stores and how they are all set up.
