Prior to joining the NMG team in 2018, my work history includes 10 years of working in a retail store and 20 years as a vendor to the retail channel.
What motivates you to get up and go to work for the Independent retailer every day?
My motivation is the success of Main Street and the prosperity of the community that surrounds it. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses and keeping the revenue generated close to home.
Tell us about your role at NMG.
As a Member Support Manager, my primary role is to serve the Members in my territory by helping implement vendor programs and services that deliver the best opportunity for success. In a rapidly changing retail environment, the quest to reduce stress and increase profitability for my Members is a perpetual process.
Why did you want to come work at NMG?
I had a long and positive relationship as a vendor/partner with NMG and the group formerly known as Mega Group USA. With the merging of these two companies, it was clear that the NEW NMG was set up to be the premier group for Independent retailers. The healthy culture at NMG and their relentless dedication to the Independent retailer made this decision very easy.

The entire team at NMG understands that the success of NMG is in direct relation to the prosperity of our membership. Also, there is no other organization in our space that has the depth of offering and the commitment to innovate and deliver winning business solutions. What is the most important project you are working on right now, and why?
Helping my Members strengthen their digital strategy is certainly at the top of the list. NMG has spent a lot of time and resources developing a world-class digital approach. I feel our Members that embrace their online presence will have the greatest chance to thrive for years to come.
What is your favorite memory from your time at NMG?
My favorite memory is when I earned the trust of a prospect and welcomed my first Member to the NMG family. This Member joined me for my regional meeting and attended our national PrimeTime show. They swiftly added several new vendors and services that are contributing to the success of their business.
What do you like most about your job?
It is great to meet new people and strengthen relationships with the Members that have put their trust in me and NMG. However, the one thing I like most is delivering victories. With approximately 350 vendors and business services, I find it rewarding to help implement programs that bring value to my Members’ businesses.
What else do you want people to know about you and NMG?
Omaha, Nebraska, has been my home for most of my life. I am married, and we have two daughters, one dog and a cat. In my spare time, you can find me on the golf course, tennis court or playing pickleball.
