I spent six years with DSI, working with Independent dealers in eight states on their CE business. Next, I joined DIRECTV, where I worked for eight years helping dealers set up their satellite business and build their advertising. I joined Nationwide Marketing Group as an MSM in 2008.

I’ve worked with the Independent channel for more than 25 years, including 13 years in a retail store.
What motivates you to get up and go to work for the Independent retailer every day?
I enjoy working with my Members and helping them grow their business. I like assisting them to find solutions to issues that arise.
Tell us about your role at NMG.
I have been an MSM for more than 10 years. During this time, I have worked with new Members just starting their business as well as others who have been in business for years. I like working with my Members, assessing their business models and making suggestions on ways to improve their processes.
Why did you want to come work at NMG?
I enjoy working with Members, and I felt that Nationwide West was a great fit – the upper management is open and honest and has our Members’ best interests at heart.
Why do you think NMG is the best buying group for Independent retailers in today’s climate?
We are a proactive group. We are aware of challenges within our markets and work to help guide our Members through the day-to-day struggles. Our upper management is always willing to listen to our input and take our suggestions to heart.
What is the most important project you are working on right now, and why?
Helping my Members work through the coronavirus issues and roadblocks. It is a daily challenge, and each Member has different experiences and problems.
What is your favorite memory from your time at NMG?
When I have a Member that tells me “thank you” for helping them solve an issue or increase their bottom-line profits.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy the Members, getting to know them personally and professionally.
What else do you want people to know about you and NMG?
I have been married for more than 35 years and have five children. I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, golfing, playing racquetball and reading.
