Trends at High Point market span from broad to niche, encompassing every home furnishing category imaginable. Retailers searching for unique pieces to satisfy a specific customer subset will find them. Retailers in need of more universally appealing aesthetics will find them, too. 

And from the spring 2026 market, we saw plenty of high-level trends to choose from — most continuing to evolve from past markets. 

Color Trends in Home Furnishings 

Last year’s blue and green preferences appeared in fresh ways, including blue-green and more moody greens.

Warm colors also had a moment at market, with coral and pastel pinks and blues among the most popular. 

Trending Materials at High Point 

Warm shades also extended into wood tones, with walnut emerging as a top finish for furniture and accent pieces. 

Continuing trends included natural and organic materials, from solid and reclaimed wood to nonengineered stone and natural, not synthetic, fibers. 

Top Functional and Style Trends for 2026 

Form versus function is no longer up for debate. Today’s consumers want multifunctional furniture that is also aesthetically pleasing. 

But which styles are currently trending? 

Several surfaced to the top at High Point this spring, including: 

  • Minimal looks with clean lines 
  • Modern designs featuring organic silhouettes  
  • Bold, structural pieces 
  • Whimsical patterns, prints, and details
