WithIt Breakfast to Focus on The Art of Influence

Written by Amy Croom

March 2, 2021

WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industry, will hold its semi-annual education brunch on Friday, March 26, titled “Influence, Inspire and Impact.” Nationwide Marketing Group is proud to be a member of WithIt, and the organization’s breakfasts are known for inspiring content and excellent networking. In addition to the dynamic motivational speaker Lynne Jensen-Nelson, attendees will have a full hour of speed networking.

Jensen-Nelson, an audience favorite from Conversion-omics™ sales consultancy, will lead attendees through how to engage in the “art of influence.” Whether you are selling your ideas to clients, leading your team through day-to-day logistics or your company through a time of transition, this presentation will give you skills to communicate more effectively and positively impact the lives of others.

“Learning the art of influence, is crucial for all leaders. We can use this personally and professionally,” says Lorri Kelley, 2021 WithIt president and principal of Lorri Kelley Advisors. “As women we have to balance home and work, and this strength should be present in both. We need to be able to have a say in the direction of our companies, positions and teams in the workplace as well as effectively ‘influence’ the direction of our kids, spouse and other special relationships.”

The event will take place on the HOPIN platform, which features a randomized networking function between attendees. Attendees will be able to meet face-to-face with other women and men in the industry in a format resembling a Zoom meeting.

“WithIt is striving to offer substantial professional development and networking opportunities during this volatile time in the industry,” says Amy Van Dorp, executive director of WithIt. “The silver lining of the last year has been our ability to reach many more women nationwide, and internationally, who might not attend markets.”

Tickets for “Influence, Inspire and Impact” can be purchased on the WithIt website; the cost for WithIt members is $20 and $25 for guests. To raise funds for the non-profit organization, a Hickory White occasional table has been donated as a door prize. Entries for the prize can be purchased with event tickets at $5 each.
