Attending High Point Market in the autumn is a real treat. Not only is the late-October weather typically gorgeous, but the fall market also offers a peek at hot trends in home furnishings for the new year. This fall was no exception.
In case you missed it, the Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) team was onsite at High Point to experience the latest products and best sellers featured in our vendors’ showrooms. And, after several days at market and several dozen showroom visits, we can confidently say that these are a few of the hottest trends to consider for your 2026 product mix.
Black is the New Neutral
We saw moody tones all over High Point in April, and the trend continues — with black and almost black emerging as favorite primary and accent colors. Considered one of the boldest neutrals, black allows other colors to shine by contrast.
Expect to see demand for more bold blacks in everything from wall paint and wood finishes to fabrics and lighting.

Nature-Inspired Home Furnishings Remain Popular
Since the days of COVID-19, we’ve witnessed the blending of indoor and outdoor living, bringing elements of nature into various seasonal trends. Today’s inspired-by-nature looks have evolved to combine popular designs from the past several years, including earthy tones, organic shapes and textures, and a modern take on floral and botanical prints.

Luxury Design Features Have Mass Appeal
The luxe fabrics that dominated the scene at Las Vegas Market this summer are back in a bigger way, with high end design elements filtering into everyday home interiors. From bold, ornate features to quiet luxury that elevates quality craftsmanship and subtle elegance, this movement offers a sense of personalization with an invitation to explore what luxury means to each individual homeowner.

Timeless Furniture Transcends the Trends
Yes, we see the irony in calling timelessness a trend. However, as consumer demand rises for pieces that transcend short-term design shifts, fundamental factors like classic colors and patterns, clean lines, natural or luxe materials, and durability are becoming increasingly more desirable —both as an aesthetic preference and a means of achieving greater return on investment for big ticket purchases.
